Clash of Clans Honor Indian Diwali Celebration with Animated Video

This year, developers of Clash of Clans decided not to stand aside and join in on Diwali celebrations by creating a special animated video. The mobile strategy game is extremely popular in India, so it only makes sense for the game developers to honor the most important Indian festival. Just within 24 hours after the video has been posted online, it has already received over 120 million views.

Clash of Clans continues to enjoy wild popularity among mobile games with over 500 million downloads across Android and iOS platforms. What is more, the annual revenue brought by the game surpassed $1 billion. A large number of people played the game at least once, but there are plenty of dedicated fans waiting for new releases.

The action in the game involves the conflict between different groups that steal valuable resources from one another during raids. In the video dedicated to Diwali, we see the Archer Queen, who is one of the characters from the game, preparing to meet attackers who are coming for her home. But, as it turns out, it is just her neighbor Queen that has come to bring her gifts. To the surprise of the Archer Queen, she receives a gift that she presented to the neighboring Queen last year. In the best traditions of the game, this causes a clash between them!

Lights are an important part of the Indian festival and this is something we can see throughout the entire video. Re-gifting is also something that happens during the festival, so it’s great that developers pay attention to detail. The video is definitely humorous and is intended to strengthen the connection with players. When it comes to the Indian gamers, they seem to share positive sentiments regarding this video.

Do you celebrate Diwali? Have you already seen the video? Please, share your thoughts in the comments below!
