Ubisoft at E3: New Titles, Sequels, and DLC

The presentation Ubisoft delivered at E3 2021 was rich in information. Not only did it announce lots of new games and DLC, but it also set updates where to expect it and showed some gameplay videos. And there is simply no also-rans on the list: each title is a serious actor in its genre.

New Games

Okay, let’s pretend there wasn’t an Avatar game by Ubisoft in 2009. Let’s see the new one as the debut, especially given that the movie sequels are coming. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is planned for release someday in 2022, the exact date not set yet. Probably it will be close to December 16, the day Avatar 2 finally hits the cinemas. Not sure whether the visuals of the game will match the sequel, but they are almost as great as the iconic first movie.

Riders Republic is a dynamic sports game that includes mountain sports and wingsuit adventures. In it, you can compete with dozens of other players in real-time, and its arcade spirit allows for unrealistic but breathtaking tricks and flights. And it’s all taking you to real-world locations. It will be released on September 2.

Sequels

Tom Clancy

Rainbow Six Extraction is the next installment in the famous Tom Clancy franchise. This time it’s a tactical shooter again, but players oppose a strange alien parasite instead of each other. Its release is scheduled for September 16. In addition, players will enjoy Rainbow Six Siege, another hit installment, on Google Stadia.

Just Dance 2022 is another imminent update: new moves, new dance hits included, a new level of visuals, and new stuff. Expect it on November 4, and prepare your body to kill it on the floor to these beats.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is a sequel to Kingdom Battle, and this time the action will take place in the entire Marioverse. If you haven’t bought a Switch yet, think about it before the game is out.

Finally, among the most anticipated titles, we see Far Cry 6, a tropical action story featuring Giancarlo Esposito as El Presidente, the main villain. We already long to play as El Presidente, as long as it’s third-person! And yes, it’s a long-time adventure since it will feature season passes. The greatest thing about season pass is that it allows you to play as a villain from some previous installment. The release date is October 7.

DLC and Updates

The loudest of the games presented is, of course, Rocksmith +. This reincarnation of Rocksmith has even more learning materials, songs to play, enhanced visuals and sounds. This time it’s a subscription service, costing more, but constantly providing new content as well – say, new songs from actual charts.

The latest installment in the Assassin's Creed series, Valhalla, will also receive a new big DLC. The Siege of Paris is the second paid DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and it will revitalize the game for those who have already explored it through. Its release date is not clear yet but expects it somewhere in the summer of 2021.

Play, Enjoy, Expect

Next year will be hot, and it’s not about the weather. Ubisoft alone can provide gamers with first-rate titles to play all year long. Action, sci-fi, sports, arcades, and even music – what do you prefer?
