There are a lot of mixed feelings when it comes to Pixel Mod for Minecraft. Some people love it, and others are not impressed. I am in the former category. I am in awe of his Pokémon spin-off. I think it is brilliant that the developers were able to incorporate a very detailed game into a completely different genre.

Minecraft is without a doubt one of the best modding games for people looking to create exciting mods for new games. On the other hand, Pokemon is in a completely different genre compared to Minecraft. It is a role-playing game featuring more than 600 Pokémon. The fact that I can update it with even more makes all the nostalgia from my childhood days come rushing back.

Getting Started

This Google Android app doesn’t have the best graphics in my opinion. They look old-fashioned, and they aren’t fascinating. However, I don’t really mind this because most mod games look worse than this. The gameplay is rather simple. When you begin, the first thing you are required to do is choose your Pokémon. Once this is done, you can move on to spawning the Pokémon. To do this, press the P button that is located at the bottom right of your screen. This will make Poke balls to appear on the right side. To spawn, long press on either of the balls. I like that the controls are very simple and straightforward. I think this makes the game very beginner-friendly.

Catching Pokémon

Apart from spawning, it is also possible to catch Pokémon using this Android app. The process is very simple. The first thing you need to know is that there are different types of balls and each of them has a distinct chance of catching a Pokémon. In this case, choose one ball, long-tap it to throw at a Pokémon, and wait for it to catch it. Don’t forget to long-press the ball to spawn the Pokémon you catch.

Go to Battle

The possibilities are endless when it comes to this Google Play app for Minecraft. You not only get to catch Pokémon and spawn but also battle other players by making amazing creations through social networking.

The app is currently in a beta version that is free. This version is only compatible with Android mobile at the moment. It doesn’t contain any in-app purchases, but you will have to deal with a number of ads while playing the game. However, this should not worry you because the ads are very subtle and they do not interfere with your gaming experience in any way.

The only thing I don’t really like about this app is that it requires an internet connection. This means you cannot play it without a strong connection because you need to install most of the things into the app to begin your adventure. This is a bummer for me at times because my internet service provider is quite unreliable.

Upcoming Upgrades

The developers have mentioned that they are trying to improve the app by including items that can be used to feed Pokémon and enable you to level up in the game. This is yet to be done, but I think it would make the game even more interesting. Therefore, keep watch for the latest version because it is bound to make this very fun.

As I mentioned earlier, this game is exciting to me because it combines different genres. Apart from this, it is fascinating, and it has really improved my mod skills. I play it very many times a day, and I am always looking forward to making new creations and catching Pokémon. I think it is a game you can enjoy playing on your own as well as with a friend.

Overall, I think Pixelmon Mod for Minecraft has to be the leading mod app. Its unusual combination makes it a must-try for anyone who enjoys mod games and Pokémon. It might be still in the trial stage, but I have to say it is worth trying. Get the app on Google Play Store and take it for a spin. You will not regret it!
