Adobe Brings Camera Raw to Photoshop on iPad

Adobe Photoshop has been a go-to place for professionals working with images for many years now. This time, the company decided to bring the support for the Camera Raw feature to the version of Photoshop on iPad.

The company has created a video in which they show how everything works. The senior product manager responsible for the work of Photoshop on iPad demonstrated how Camera Raw is effectively used for editing DNG and RAW photos that were imported from the camera. The same can be said about ProRAW files that are created on iPhone 13 Pro and 12 Pro.

If you are not familiar with Camera Raw, it is an exclusive plugin that has been developed for editing RAW images in Photoshop. Also, it is at the basis of the processing engine used in Lightroom. In the official video, the senior product manager showed an abundance of editing settings you can use and also exposure parameters that can be changed using the software.

With the help of this plugin, users can upload RAW files as smart objects. This makes it possible to use non-destructive editing features. Ryan Dumlao displayed a number of ways you can use Photoshop features and one of the tasks he performed is deleting certain tree branches in an image. Another advanced feature he used is changing the color of an individual rope in a photo.

A lot of photographers and other specialists that deal with images use Lightroom as their go-to place for image editing. However, if you have an iPad, installing Camera Raw on Photoshop will offer you a wider range of editing tools when you use this particular device. At the moment, all we know about when this feature will become available is that Adobe plans to introduce it soon.
