Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls to Be Revived on Apple Arcade
After over a year of waiting, gaming enthusiasts will finally get to enjoy pillaging Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls. Konami announced that the refreshed version is soon to be revived on Apple Arcade, Apple’s renowned game subscription platform that grants non-stop access to a constantly increasing catalog of countless top-level games, including brand new titles, award-winning games, and all-time-favorites from the App Store. Since ads and in-app purchases are not allowed within Apple Arcade, all of this treasure is up for grabs in its pristine form.
With all that said, it means that very soon, the newly polished Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls will be launched on iOS, tvOS, and Mac. Initially, the free-to-play was launched on iOS in 2019, and then was removed from the App Store in 2020 due to being criticized for its annoying never-ending microtransactions.
Based on how Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is now listed as ‘coming soon’ to the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV on Apple Arcade, there’s a safe assumption that the game will ditch microtransactions, cementing itself in the gaming universe as a pretty worthy entry to the Castlevania series.
Most of the gameplay seems to have remained intact. It will feature sixty levels, a treasure trove of equipment, regular missions, and hours of fun. The game will be translated into 16 different languages. You will have a blast playing your favorite and now-legendary characters from the franchise, such as Alucard, Charlotte, Maria, Simon Belmont, and Shanoa.
While Apple doesn’t specify the exact release date of the game on Apple Arcade, you get the possibility to set a reminder and receive a notification when the official rollout date arrives.
