Current Development of Apps Landscape with Lifestreaming
Applications with lifestreaming features have become more widespread in the last few years, and people tend to download more of them. According to the App Annie report, there should be about 9.2 billion program uploads at the end of 2021. Earlier, Facebook and Messenger were at the top of the list. In 2020, TikTok became the most downloaded application in the world.
Users not only install more apps but also spend much more time surfing diverse platforms than earlier. There are several reasons for it. First of all, gadgets are now more affordable, and the list of applications continuously increases. People stay at home and go online more because of the COVID-19. It is reported that users will spend about 740 billion hours using apps in 2021. App Annie says that this number might reach 800 billion.
Except for TikTok, a lot of other popular platforms offer lifestreaming features. You can make broadcasts on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter that strive to increase their streaming audience and provide various new functions. For example, Facebook allows playing popular music during streams. It also claimed that the service will pay to those who create lifestreaming content in 2022.
Twitch is one of the largest platforms for broadcasts nowadays, and it celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. More than 30 million users surf on their sites every day. People also communicate outside the streams and discuss diverse other themes like music, games, and so on. A lot of streamers work on this platform all the time. Recently, they organized a boycott because of the rise in hate among some users. Twitch announced the intention to improve the ban system to make the site more secure for both creators and users.
