EA Cancels "Titanfall Legends" Single Player Game

Electronic Arts (EA) recently announced that it had canceled the development of "Titanfall Legends," a single-player game based on the popular Titanfall series. This is reported by Bloomberg, citing sources within the company. The game was intended to be the latest installment in the franchise, but EA has decided to focus its efforts on Apex Legends instead.

Titanfall Legends was set to be a single-player game featuring a female protagonist named Sarah Briggs. It was scheduled for release in 2021 and was being developed by Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind Apex Legends. The game was set to be a story-driven shooter with innovative gameplay mechanics and beautiful graphics.

Despite this, EA has committed to concentrating its energy on the prevalent battle royale game, Apex Legends. The game has seen tremendous success since its launch in 2019 and has become one of the most popular games in the world. EA believes that Apex Legends has the potential to be an even bigger hit and is focusing its resources on the game instead of developing Titanfall Legends.

This decision has been met with mixed reactions from the gaming community. Many players were looking forward to the single-player experience that Titanfall Legends offered, while others are happy that EA is focusing its attention on Apex Legends. Regardless, Respawn Entertainment has no plans to abandon the Titanfall series and will likely announce another game in the franchise in the near future.

EA's decision to cancel the development of Titanfall Legends is certainly disappointing news for the gaming community. However, it is clear that the company is confident that Apex Legends is the game that will take the franchise to the next level. It will be interesting to see what Respawn Entertainment has in store for the series in the future.
