Forza Horizon 5 Got New Modes and 9 New Cars in March

Forza Horizon is no doubt the best racing game on Xbox and PC (and even the release of the new Gran Turismo won’t change it, the latter being a PlayStation exclusive). At the end of March 2022, it has become even better, as the recent update enriched it with new modes and nine new cars, as well as bug fixes and performance improvements.

The new content arrives right at the beginning of Season 6, which started on March 29. There are five cars available to any player for free, as rewards for completing quests. For example, the 2021 version of the iconic Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 is yours as you complete the six chapters of the Drift Club Mexico story. You can also unlock the 2012 Ascari KZ1R, 2021 McLaren 765LT Coupe, 2018 ATS GT, and the 2014 McLaren 650S Spider without any extra payments. Those with the Car Pass, though, can get four more cars, namely 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado, 2021 McLaren 620R, 2021 MINI John Cooper Works GP, and 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster. All of these in-game cars are made close to their real-life prototypes, like always on Forza Horizon games.

There are also numerous additions in Event Lab, fixes for plenty of bugs that were detected in the previous release, and some performance improvements. The Battle Royale mode named Eliminator now becomes self-sufficient, instead of a part of Horizon Open. But the most interesting of these updates, though, is the Custom Racing mode. This mode enables you to find the most interesting races for you personally.

The update became available yesterday, March 29, on all the platforms where the game has been released – that is, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox Online, and PC. The first reviews are already coming, and most of them are favorable. Have you already installed and tried it? We’d like to hear your opinion down here in the comments.
