Google Drive Got Full Support for Apple M1 Chip
Owners of Apple’s M1 chip devices will no longer need to use Rosetta 2 to get a full set of Google Drive features. All Mac users with this Apple Silicon are finally getting Google Drive for desktop with complete support. This app is a great way to store anything you need and work with files.
Support for Mac Devices
About a year after Apple's Silicon Mac presentation, Google Drive officially became entirely compatible with M1 chip devices. Apple M1 custom chip provides better performance without wasting battery condition. Devices with this chip include MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac mini, and 24-inch iMac. The chip is pretty similar to the Apple A-series processors designed for iPhone and iPad. These systems become significantly faster each year.
According to the release, the new Drive for desktop update does not specify compatible devices, but it promises all gadgets with Apple Silicon will be supported. The latest update of Google Drive to version 52.0 also brings a lot of new possibilities to Mac and Windows users.
Features the App Offers Mac Users
Drive for desktop is a cloud storage service developed by Google, which turns Google Drive into a fully-fledged file syncing service rather than just a basic cloud storage locker. With this app, you can edit files, store them, and share files and folders associated with your Google at IU account without taking up the disk space of your computer.
All Mac users now have access to new and updated features from the latest app version. These functions include a new support feature for some cameras that back up Drive for desktop, improved accessibility of offline files, and much more handy tools. What do you think about this recent update? Will Apple users appreciate these new possibilities? You can leave your thoughts below, and share the article with your friends and family!
