Minecraft Optifine Mod: what Is It & How to Install It
Optifine mod is a way to make the Minecraft game look prettier. It also optimizes gameplay experience and a bunch of other in-game stuff.
Optifine unlocks a whole caboodle of visual improvements. Plus, it can increase the frame-per-second rate and optimize other values, making the game a bit more dynamic.
Here’s how to install Optifine:
- Website. Head to the official page, where Optifine is up for download.
- Download. Open the Downloads category located at the top of the page.
- Mirror. Push the mirror button Minecraft 1.18.1 OptiFine HD U H4.
After that, you’ll be prompted to finally download the mod package. Click Download, and choose where on your computer or laptop the thing will be saved. To economize time, you can select your desktop.
Now you just need to unpack the RAR archive and install the Optifine mod. Once it’s done, launch Minecraft and click on the UP arrow, which is next to the main play button.
There you will be offered to choose a version, including mode. Scroll through until you find the Optifine 1.18.1 mod, select it and enjoy.
So, which wonders does the mod open to us? Among all else, there are:
- Increased FPS value.
- Better shader support.
- Variable Render Distance.
- Advanced OpenGL.
- Configurable animations
- Improved snow, grass, fog, water, and so on.
As you can see, there’s a whole kaleidoscope of improvements.
And Optifine does make Minecraft look sharper indeed. But you also need to keep in mind one thing: the original Minecraft runs on every system basically, because it’s not that demanding due to its voxel-based graphics.
However, Optifine will need a bit more powerful GPU and CPU, as rendering sharper textures of a marsh or cave does require more computing power.
As for the rest, it’s a great addition to an already great game. What do you think of Optifine? Let us know in the comments
