The Remake of Angry Birds Classic Returns to iOS and Android

Sometimes they come back. One of the first games that made us speak of iOS as a gaming platform was Angry Birds by Rovio. Though there were numerous sequels and spinoffs in all these years, the original version is still in demand. Now, rebuilt completely, it’s here again, compatible with all the newest devices but preserving the old feel.

This return follows the removal of the original version from App Store and Google Play back in 2019, which left the numerous fans extremely unsatisfied. The campaign they started on social media was successful, as Rovio managers got the message and decided to indeed #BringBack2012.

Now, the game is available on both App Store and Google Play. It is available in all the world where Rovio operates. Rovio, though, cunningly says about all the 8 worlds and 390 levels of the original, while the removed version contained 15 worlds and almost 700 levels. It can be justified, though, by the speculation that Rovio intended to bring back the feel of 2012, without additions. They may be still added later, though, and that would only enhance the original feel.

The game is paid, but the price is quite moderate: about $1.20. For that more than modest price, fans will get all the content from the original game of 2012, redesigned to look great on iPhones and iPad of the new generations.

The resurrected game is highly rated. On Android, the average rate is 4.5, and on iOS it’s the impressive 4.9! This indicates both the quality of the remake and the love that its fans carry through over this decade.

Did you play the original Angry Birds in 2012? If you have already played the remake, how did you like it? Were there any bugs or other issues? And didn’t it feel like something’s lost? Tell us about your impressions in the comments if you please!
