Some cards can interact with others on their own. Some of them may actually block the battlefield. The tactical promise is good enough at the beginning.
The problem begins when your enemies receive better cards. They progress quicker and you can’t control it. Free extra cards don’t really help when the class of your enemy cards is higher.
It is hard to resist such a beautifully made game. There are hundreds of variations to try before your enemy will receive better cards. You may come back to the game, again and again, trying new strategies, new characters.
